Job Description

Job Title: Service Desk Manager
Salary:  £40,000-£55,000
Location: Rotherham, South Yorkshire

Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day operations of the service desk, ensuring that customer service levels are met and exceeded.
Manage a team of IT engineers, coaching and mentoring to develop their skills and knowledge.
Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
Ensure that all incidents and service requests are logged, categorised, prioritised, and assigned to the appropriate team for resolution.
Act as a point of escalation for complex incidents and ensure that appropriate actions are taken to resolve them.
Monitor service desk performance against SLAs, KPIs, and other metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Manage vendor relationships and contracts related to the service desk, ensuring that they meet the business needs and deliver value for money. Requirements:

Strong technical background, with experience in IT and telecoms support and operations.
Proven experience managing a service desk or helpdesk.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and team members.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Experience developing and implementing processes and procedures to improve service delivery.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Be confident to represent the IT team during high level management meetings.
A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject would be desirable.
