Job Description
Senior 2nd Line Technician – Birmingham – GBP 30,000 (Hybrid)

I am currently working alongside a Well Established MSP, who is looking to grow the technical Support team with a strong 2nd Line Support Technician.
With 1-2-1 training and a detailed progression plan, they are looking for a motivated IT professional who is wanting to learn and expand on their experience and progress in their career.
Responsibilities:
Provide 2nd line technical support to external users, resolving issues related to firewalls, desktops, and Office 365 applications in a timely and efficient manner.
Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, and provide technical solutions to resolve them.
Going onsite once to twice a week – to gain F2F experience!
Manage and resolve incidents and service requests via the ticketing system, ensuring SLAs are met.
Collaborate with the 1st line support team and other stakeholders to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
Maintain and update technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures.
Provide excellent customer service and communication, keeping users informed of progress and resolving technical issues with a high level of professionalism.Requirements:
Strong experience in providing 2nd line technical support in a professional environment.
Solid knowledge and experience in firewalls, desktops, and Office 365 applications.
Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols.
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to hardware, software, and network.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good organizational and time management skills.
Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, or CompTIA are desirable.Benefits:
