Job Description
A truly global technology business has multiple Senior Buyer roles (covering all indirect spend & IT), supporting a group procurement function.
Reporting into your line manager in the business you will support them on strategically managing your category. Over the past 12-18 months the procurement team has grown, with global remit and are now getting ahead of the curve to implement strategic, category management to create not just financial savings but also longer term benefits for the business.
Role and responsibilities:
Working in a global team, working in a fast paced and strategic environment
End-to-end procurement management, sourcing to on-going SRM
Influence stakeholders who might not have worked with the procurement to sell the benefits
Look after contract renewals, renegotiating when needed / improving SLAs
Manage multi-million spends across assigned sub-categories
Identify new potential suppliers and cost saving opportunities by using market knowledgeExperience and requirements:
Worked within a large, multi-site organisation
Adapt, where stakeholder approach might need to tailored
No issues with negotiating and influencing all levels of internal customer / stakeholder
Experience in building relationships in varied environment
Ideally CIPS and degree qualified – not essentialINDPRO
