The Lead Service Transition Manager is accountable for ensuring successful transition of changes from Project delivery into a diverse range of Operational environments, including key enhancements to, or introduction of new systems to the Agency. These are not your everyday systems – these underpin critical life-saving emergency services systems and make a huge difference to vital public-facing services.
They will also line manage the members of the team and ensure that improvements are sought and implemented into the team and the ways of working for all colleagues involved.

Job description
This role will be based in the Southampton HQ. MCA supports flexible working and operates a hybrid working model between home and office for this role, giving you greater flexibility over where and when you work. Details of the arrangement will be discussed further with your line manager.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Strategic:
* Accountable for the design, implementation and adherence of Service Transition Policies, Processes and procedures including transition plans, leading service readiness reviews, defining new product or service acceptance criteria and documentation whilst seeking and implementing continual service improvement activities.
Management:
* Undertake risk management across all service integrations, and Line Management of the Service Transition Team. Whilst actively promoting the benefits of Changes across IT and the Agency, by ensuring all IT solutions are delivered into early life successfully.
Operational
* Planning, scheduling, and coordinating transitional activity in conjunction with key processes to ensure introduction of new services are delivered positively, leading collaboration with stakeholders across the organisation.

Person specification
* Practitioner in and able to apply Service Transition models and frameworks.
* Tangible experience of defining service acceptance criteria.
* Demonstrable Change Management experience through either leading a change team or change projects.
* Risk Management experience – identify risk and apply effective mitigation planning.
* Experience of working with project methodologies including Agile, Waterfall or similar.
* Proficient at analysing information from a range of sources to present advice/recommendations with clarity to all.
