Junior Systems Administrator – Animation Production
Salary – £45,000 + 33 Holidays
Location – Central London & Hybrid WFH
Our client, a market-leading Animation company is currently recruiting for a Junior Systems Administrator to join their growing tech team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and monitoring of all IT systems, networks and services in the organisation, as well as ensuring the smooth running of production operations.
Responsibilities:
* Monitor and maintain all IT systems, networks and services
* Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
* Monitor system performance, security and availability
* Ensure that all IT systems are running efficiently and securely
* Provide technical support and advice to end users
* Set up and configure new hardware and software
* Document processes and procedures
* Monitor and manage backups
* Research and recommend new technology and software solutions
Technical Skills Required:
* Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, VMware
* Strong knowledge Active Directory, Group Policy
* Experience with cloud services (Azure, AWS, etc.
* Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
* Knowledge of scripting/automation tools (PowerShell, Bash, etc.)
* Knowledge of computer security practices and techniques
* Strong experience with aspects of security would be beneficial – Firewalls, CrowdStrike, Carbon Black
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
