Job Description

We are working with a top-tier law firm in East Anglia seeking IT Learning Development Specialist.
The IT Learning Development Specialist can work from any of my client’s offices in Spalding, Peterborough, Huntingdon or Nottingham. Hybrid working is also in play, The IT Learning Development Specialist can work from home 2 days per week.
In this IT Learning Development Specialist role, it is not essential for the successful candidate to have experience in IT Training, it is important for the individual to have good knowledge of the legal sector, especially in Legal software/Case Management Systems.
The previous employee in this role was in fact, a Legal Secretary. My client is keen to hear from individuals from Legal backgrounds.
IT Learning Development Specialist– responsibilities:
* To deliver IT induction and fulfill ongoing training needs, providing new starter assistance as required
* To prepare and deliver demonstrations, application training resources (presentations, guides, handouts, videos etc) and skills transfer sessions regarding new and existing systems as required.
* Testing new or updated systems and preparation of supporting release notes and training notes.
* Training/skills transfer to other IT staff/service providers in relevant aspects of new applications (cascade training)
* To implement an appropriate IT competency framework with relevant training/training resources and systems to track and report individual progress.
* To efficiently manage all IT training requests, bookings and training records
* Liaison with the development team and outsourced IT service provider to ensure effective implementation through training on new projects/system updates / best use of existing systems
IT Learning Development Specialist– skills & experience:
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Ability to quickly learn new software and business processes and translate knowledge into training/learning resources
* Demonstrable problem-solving ability and willingness to persist and overcome obstacles.
* Proficient in using Microsoft Office products – i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* High level of understanding of technical issues which may affect the business including, but not limited to, identification of new solutions.
* Ability to work well under pressure and manage/prioritise workloads.
* Highly developed organisational and time management skills.
* Ability to negotiate and persuade at all levels, including senior management, in order to achieve a successful outcome
