They are currently undergoing an exciting phase of change and expansion, and they are looking for a talented Database Administrator to work on both on premise Microsoft SQL Server and all Azure SQL Database services, covering all areas of Database. You will be joining a team of nine reporting into the Head of IT.

What you will do…

Design, implement, and maintain SQL Server databases, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and rock-solid security.
Proactively monitor and resolve issues in a SQL Server system, adapting to the changing needs of the organisation during this transformational phase.
Collaborate with diverse cross-functional teams to develop data models and architectures.
Implement and manage cutting-edge database security measures, including access control and data encryption.
Perform regular backups and recovery processes.
Enforce stringent data governance policies to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of data.
Conduct performance tuning and optimisation activities, including the fine-tuning of complex queries and proactive index management.
Plan and execute seamless SQL Server migrations, upgrades, and patching activities.
