Job Description

Cyber Security Analyst, Technical Security Controls, Part Remote, Part City London

Cyber Security Analyst required to work for a Professional Services business based in the City of London. We need a strong, enthusiastic Cyber Security professional to add value to the growing Security team for this business.

Duties & responsibilities

* Identify and analyse unauthorised activity (e.g., misuse, malware, intrusion attempts) on the Firm's networks and provide incident documentation and review.

* Working with the Head of Cyber Security, providing support and advice in the event of a security incident, helping to identify and address problem trends.

* Contributes to security incident management and associated reporting.

* Respond to cyber security tickets

* Contributes to information security training and awareness, supporting appropriate platforms and tooling.

* Contributes to development of information security policies and processes.

* Monitor identity and access management, including monitoring for abuse of permissions by authorised system users.

* Assist in the completion of due diligence information security audits from third parties and clients.

* Monitor and respond to phishing emails and other related scams.

* Give training, advice, and guidance to staff on information security related issues.

* Keep up to date with the latest security and technology developments.

* Management, maintenance and hardening of security tools.

* Contribute to change management meetings and communicate cyber security changes.

* Assist with vulnerability prioritisation.

* There may be a requirement to be called out for security escalations.

Key Skills and Experience Required – Technical

* Excellent IT skills, including knowledge of computer networks, operating systems, software, hardware.

* Can effectively translate and accurately communicate security and risk implications at the most senior levels across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

* Broad knowledge of technical security controls.

* Can manage stakeholders’ expectations across high-risk and complexity or under constrained timescales.

* Experience with investigating breaches and carrying out corrective action.
