Job Description

Our client a leading government organisation are seeking to recruit 2 x 3rd ine Engineers/ Windows Systems Administrators for 6 months initial contracts and you will bring the below skill sets :

100% remote home based

£430/day Inside IR35 is the maximum pay rate

Current SC Clearance is required……

The post-holder will work within Technical Operations, with Technical Systems, providing expert level Technical advice and support.

Within the Technical Systems team the post-holder will work with the Head of Technical Systems and Head of Technical Operations to manage the delivery of Technical Services to internal customers by supporting the infrastructure; servers, systems, communications and services in a third line role. Additionally, they will manage and co-ordinate the activities within the team, promoting best practice and ensuring that service targets are achieved.

Key Skills/Experience

Essential:

Have experience of leadership and staff development in a technical/support team environment). Experience of directing others to undertake tasks.
Have excellent written and oral communication skills to produce reports and give presentations at an organisation wide level
Strong communications skills and the ability to present to all staff at the appropriate level
Report and documentation skills to set out information in a concise and logical manner
Planning and organisational skills to effectively deliver requirements
Expert technical experience of wide variety of Server, Storage and Networking technologies at an 3rd Line Support level.
Knowledge of IT security best practice, with particular emphasis on MOD standards and accreditation process.
Expert experience of Microsoft Windows Servers 2016, 2019, and other Server and infrastructure technologies in a large enterprise environment, either holding appropriate qualifications or working toward them.
Experience of configuring and troubleshooting Cisco or HP switches and Checkpoint or Fortinet firewalls, either holding appropriate qualifications or working toward them.
Have experience of providing quality / technical assurance within complex projects
Experience within Microsoft Azure both using IaaS and SaaS as well as general cloud components.
Experience within AWS Cloud services.
Experience with Office 365 administration, including Microsoft teams.
Experience with Microsoft Hyper-V and storage spaces direct.

Desirable:

Familiar with business continuity concepts such as the methods and techniques for risk management, business impact analysis, countermeasures and contingency arrangements relating to the serious disruption of IT services.
Experience of Linux Operating Systems and other open source technologies
Experience of Scripting or automation technologies
Experience with Fortinet products
